CHEREVICHKIOTVICHKI
PARIS FASHION WEEK 2012
RETRACT by Studio Toogood for CHEREVICHKIOTVICHKI

For Paris Fashion Week S/S 2013 Studio Toogood created a unique interior installation for the presentation of CHEREVICHKIOTVICHKI‘s SS 2013 shoe collection.

The studio feels an affinity to the shoe maker – Cherevichkiotvichki’s work, in particular her unique and unconventional approach, her love for simplicity, the way of combining unusual materials, and the play between feminine and masculine attributes. To reflect the new collection launched in Paris, RETRACT centred around the themes of abandonment, age and texture. A set of Soviet utilitarian furniture belonging to the founder Victoria Andrejeva was altered and adapted to create an abstracted and deserted living space. Materials including plaster, hessian, wax and resin were all used to create a series of textures and surfaces that would reflect the beauty found in age, including patina, cracking and mould.
